Over the years, I’ve heard all kinds of motivating things from the millionaires that I trained.

I was told that business was about your customers.

I learned that there was so fewer limitations than I originally believed.

They would tell me about all kinds of different businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors that you could take on in the world.

They would also motivate me for my own business.

But through it all, there was one tip that stood out.

The Millionaire Motivation Tip

The most motivating thing I was told came from one of my favorite multi-millionaires.

He was larger than life, a genuine super business person and a great golfer and friend to boot.

He would often share all kinds of fascinating business tips with me but there was one that really stuck in my head.

just as we finished an early morning training session, I remember leaving the house and we were talking about my business.

He could see that I was a little bit unmotivated at the time and he was asking me what I was doing about it.

I think my answer was something to the effect of: “I don’t know what to do”.

I wasn’t a brand new trainer but I probably only been in the business six or seven years at this point.

Though I was a good trainer, I didn’t know how to get the word out and I didn’t know how to market myself to people.

I also wasn’t super confident at doing this either.

He asked me if I was reaching out to people and promoting or selling myself.

I Answered: “Not really”.

And then he said: “Who’s going to advocate for you if you don’t advocate for yourself?”

Motivation & Clarity

Right then and there all the responsibilities and clarity came rushing into my head.

Here’s this uber successful multi-millionaire telling me that it’s on me.

It got me out of the lost mode that I was in and it helped me see that it was okay for me to promote myself.

It was so motivating for me to hear this Because it changed my perspective on business.

Not only did it make me feel like I was allowed to fight for myself but that it was actually the right thing to do.

Many of us have such a negative view of selling or promoting or marketing ourselves. it feels like we shouldn’t do it and it’s rude or bad behavior or not good form.

After chatting with the millionaire, I realized that not advocating for myself came across as though I lacked confidence.

If you don’t believe in yourself, who else is going to believe in you?

I Truly believe that everybody has value.

Sometimes, we just tend to forget how much value we really have and how much we can use it to help other people.

The millionaire help me be proud of what I had to offer.

The idea of advocating on my own behalf was a wonderful self-care tactic.

I felt motivated from that point on for a very long time and it helped me grow my business.

Don’t ever be afraid of advocating for yourself in business and in life.

Self care and self-belief are cornerstones of survival in the business world and in many other worlds.

Feel free to use this millionaire tip in your travels.

I hope it serves you as well as it has me.

Best of wealth,

Tyler.
