Are you feeling like you need to be more extreme with each passing day? There’s someone doing extreme sports, people making extreme trades in the crypto market and everyone is doing extreme things on social media. Is that what’s required to be successful these days?

They say if you do this one weird thing or try this one crazy method, you’ll make extreme amounts of cash! Sometimes this leaves me feeling like I’m not extreme enough to make it in this world let alone make more money.

Do You Need to be Extreme to Achieve Something Big?

My answer is yes, at times.

There may be times in business where things might get a bit extreme.

The millionaires would often talk about a time during their working lives where things got a bit hectic.

Things got overwhelming, intense and perhaps even a bit extreme.

  • There were times when they worked really long hours.
  • They went through majorly stressful deals here and there.
  • There were situations where lots of energy and drive was necessary and there were times where all this and more was required.

Things got a little extreme. This can happen to many entrepreneurs. It’s almost guaranteed to happen-especially if you’re successful.

This can be really scary to witness from the outside and it can be even more frightening to go through in person.

But it won’t be like this all the time.

Extreme but then Serene

By the time I was training the millionaires, I feel like they’d gotten to the other side. None of them were 99 years old either. They still had lots of time to enjoy their lives as wealthy individuals.

Life was smoother and calmer and they’d in effect, made it. They had finished the extreme times or could handle them with far more ease at this point in their lives.

I think we’re so conditioned to think that work should have to go until we retire at 65. And if we wanted to get rich, we’re going to have to kill ourselves forever to get to that golden number.

If I was already training these people by the time they were in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, that means they got rich in a pretty short period of time.

It’s not going to take you forever if you manage to get rich.

That’s actually a likelihood.

Extreme Can be Good

Though extreme sounds a bit intense to me, I understand that it can be a really good thing too.

If you have an extreme number of orders to fulfill, extreme times can be awesome.

I talked to one of my favorite clients about this and he said it was a crazy time when his company was exploding. He also said it was the most fun he had at work in his career. Everybody in the business was having a great time. He remembered being so excited to get into the office when this was happening. It was a great time for him.

My Extremes

I’ve sold products online before and for some reason, I thought I would hate putting orders together. I was selling physical products that required a packing tube, plastic plugs and packing tape to secure the tube.

To my surprise, the complete opposite came true.

I honestly loved packing every order. It was a blast! There’s something about seeing a bunch of orders come in that is really exhilarating.

It was a smaller business and I probably never would have gotten enough orders for things to get extreme, but I assure you, if they did, I would’ve had fun.

We hear of good extremes like this all the time.

You land a big client, you get a huge order or you build a business that takes off. All of these situations have some extreme aspects to them but, they’re good extremes.

All in all, being rich is a an extremely good financial situation.

Extreme But Palatable

In the end, it’s all part of the business cycle. Extreme times, calm times, boring times and maybe even times to move on? I liked uncovering through my clients that things didn’t need to be extreme all the time. It seemed like a more logical and realistic finding.

I think growing a business is doable and attainable if you don’t need to be extreme all the time.

If you have to push here and there, that makes perfect sense to me. That’s feasible and about the right amount of extreme.

Best of wealth,
